Sewing Machine Cake

My latest project was a sewing machine cake for a 60th Birthday. After a lot of research & planning, I decided to have a go at the Singer Sewing Machine, a machine often used by the birthday girl! |
The bottom part of the machine is a milk chocolate mud cake covered with milk chocolate ganache. The top part of the machine & side part is caramel mud cake covered in white chocolate ganache & a thin layer of fondant. I used styrofoam for the rounded part at the top of the machine & for the wheel. Dowel was used to support the top cake on both ends. The end result was a happy birthday girl who enjoyed her cake and her party! Happy Birthday Lynne xx
