Shayne's 40th Birthday Cake

Shayne's 40th Cake For my brother’s 40th birthday, the cake request was a motorbike. (A Honda XR250R to be exact, a replica of his much loved possession!) After alot of research and experimentation, I decided the best bet for me was to produce a hand modelled replica as a cake topper. Read the rest of this entry »

Two cakes in two days

80th Birthday Cake 18th Birthday Cake Last week was a busy one, I made two cakes in two days.  One of my work mates was turning 18 and I was asked to make a little cake for a special 80 year old.  As both these cakes were required a day apart, I decided to do them both very similar.  Citrus cake was chosen for the 80th so was the same for the 18th.  I gananched each cake with citrus ganache and gave a white chocolate collar to each.  Each cake was wrapped in ribbon and topped with chocolates.  Two cute little cakes in two days. :)

Holidays

Girl's Christening Cake Well, I’ve just returned to work from having a week off.  What better way to spend my holidays then experimenting with cakes! ;) Read the rest of this entry »

Cake was a huge success. We all loved it & the flavour was to die for. It was so good to look at that it seemed a shame to cut into it! Everyone wanted to know who made it. Richy kept the boat and contents and fish as a souvenir. So again, a big thanks. You did a wonderful job.

Christee-Lee, your cupcakes are truly the yummiest, and prettiest, cupcakes I've ever had! Thanks again!
